Indian Bitcoin Exchange Coinsecure Partners with BitPay
Coinsecure, one of the leading Bitcoin and Blockchain company in India today announced that it is partnering with BitPay. As a part of this partnership, the San Francisco-based company will offer bitcoin payment processing services to the Indian merchants.
By using Coinsecure’s payment gateway, merchants in India will be able to accept payments from their customers in bitcoin, and receive the payout in Indian rupee, without having to worry about Bitcoin’s intrinsic price volatility.
When asked about the company’s plans for onboarding merchants, the COO and Bangalore Center Head of Coinsecure, Jincy Samuel said:
“There have been a lot of enquiries regarding bitcoin payment gateway from Indian merchants. Apart from those who are already interested, we plan on targeting merchants through our direct outreach programs and are hoping that they will see the value in adding another method of payment, which is bitcoin. “
Merchants Speak
Coinsecure has already got few companies signed up with them to use the new bitcoin payment gateway service. Among them are First Principles Ventures – a business and technology consulting firm, Zraya – a personalized furniture service, Lazy Eight Design – a design firm and Kartmagic- an e-commerce platform.
“Accepting payments from our clients in the form of bitcoin perfectly aligns with our work in the new technologies and innovations sector.”
says Ram, one of the partners at First Principles Ventures.
“Our custom furniture service mainly deals with upcoming startups and businesses in the country who are willing to make bitcoin transactions. Earlier we used to manually share our Bitcoin wallet address with them to receive payments but now with Coinsecure’s bitcoin payment gateway, we can automate the whole process,”
says the founder and CEO of Zraya, Mahboob Imtiyaz.
Nav from LazyEight says,
“We are aiming to rethink the creative agency using technology.”
Finally, Anirudh from Kartmagic, the SaaS-based e-commerce platform was quoted by the blog saying,
“We will use bitcoin payments for our payments as well we will offer bitcoin payment gateway to our merchants all across India.”
The introduction of BitPay services into India marks an important milestone in the country’s Bitcoin evolution. As the digital currency adoption in the country grows, we can expect more international services to make an entry into the subcontinent either through partnerships like this one or independently.
